Periyar Tiger Reserve, Thekkady
Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is a secured zone close Thekkady in the locale of Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India. It is remarkable as both an elephant hold and a tiger save. The secured range covers a zone of 925 km2 (357 sq mi). 305 km2 (118 sq mi) of the center zone was announced as the Periyar National Park in 1982. The recreation center is an archive of uncommon, endemic and imperiled widely varied vegetation and structures the significant watershed of two essential streams of Kerala, the Periyar and the Pamba.
