Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Thiruvananthapuram

A vault of a portion of the rarest therapeutic herbs, the Neyyar Dam situated around 32 km from Thiruvananthapuram, is a prominent outing spot with a lake and a beautiful dam site. The lake framed by the dam over the Neyyar River is the bluest of blue, making sculling compelling for sightseers.

The Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary of which the dam is a section is the natural surroundings of over a hundred types of fauna including Asian Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Slender Loris and reptiles like King Cobra, Travancore Tortoise, and so forth. A crocodile rearing focus and a lion safari stop are additionally situated in the dam site.
